Hi Everyone, MrGroove Here. Just wanted to throw out a quick FYI in regards to large release days over at Microsoft.
Because the RSS Feed as well as the Front Page on the site only displays the last 20 updates / downloads from the Microsoft Download Center, on large release days like 8/26/08 it’s possible you might miss some updates being that Microsoft likes to release 20+ updates at the same time. Even though I use Google Reader AND Bloglines to watch RSS Feeds, I missed about 20 updates yesterday.
So with this in mind I’m going to be increasing the RSS Feed from 20 to 50 Items. This should hopefully fix the problem.
Now, if your not using an RSS reader and just using the HomePage to watch for new updates, because I only display the last 20 updates, again your going to miss updates if it’s a heavy release day. With this in mind please note that if you visit the Archive page, here I list in HTML the last 50 Releases. This is what I used yesterday to see if I missed any updates (and I did….)
