Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB978637)

Install this update to address an issue in which program compatibility settings are ignored and cause applications opened through another 32-bit application to exhibit Windows Vista behavior on Windows 7 x64 or Windows 2008 R2 x64/IA-64.

  1. This particular update 978637 caused my PC to quit booting. I had to turn down the (OC’ed) memory settings quite significantly in order to get it through the booting process.

    I de-installed it and now everything is in fine shape again.
